Airtable's new record template ability allows users to create pre-populated templates for adding new records to a table. With this feature, users can define a set of field values that should be included in a new record, along with any default values or formatting options. When a user clicks the "Add new record" button in the table, they can select the appropriate template to use for the new record. The pre-populated fields and default values will be automatically filled in, and the user can make any necessary modifications before saving the new record. A few things to note: 1. These templates cannot be applied via interfaces currently unless via an automation. 2. These templates are not dynamic and are limited to table level. Unless a lookup field is used. At that point, things such as dates can be dynamic and calculated from one another. 3. If used via an automation, the automation will only count as one run 😲 no matter how many records are created.
